Orion Fans, a division of Knight Electronics, is no stranger to innovation. The manufacturer recently launched their newest product, Reversible Flow DC fans. What makes the fan unique? By utilizing the newest microcontroller-based designs in their Reversible Direction fans, Orion Fans gives engineers the advantage of both directional flow and speed control in a single fan – a feature that was previously unachievable.
Instead of simply utilizing pulse-width modulation (PWM) signals to control fan speed, the reversible direction fans segment the PWM duty cycle curve, extending the control paradigm. This means that speed control and direction of airflow are both achievable without supplementing excess wires or circuitry.
This ultimately reduces design time, space, and the overall cost of a cooling solution. Reversible Flow DC fans are available in 120mm to 172mm frame sizes.
The fans can be used for:
Since 1979, Orion Fans has been designing, developing, and manufacturing a broad line of AC, DC, EC fans, fan trays, fan accessories, motorized impellers and blowers to meet the continuing thermal management needs of OEMs worldwide.
